How do I sign up for ZAZZpay?

Join the waitlist with your email and artist name. We'll email as soon as ZAZZpay launches in your app store. After downloading, you'll run through a short onboarding process after which you're ready to take payments with ZAZZpay.

Do I need any special hardware?

Accepted Answer

No. ZAZZpay runs on the phone in your pocket. Tap-to-pay works on any modern iPhone or Android. No card readers or dongles to ship, set up, or return at the end of the tour.

Can I sign up if I'm from outside the EU?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we accept artists from all EU countries, as well as from the US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. We're planning to make ZAZZpay available to users from other countries soon.

Do I need to be a registered business to sign up?

Accepted Answer

No. Even if you're a small band without a formal set up you can access ZAZZpay's solution.

In what countries can I use ZAZZpay to take payments?

We're launching in Europe first. Our app accepts payments in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. More markets are rolling out through 2026.

Can I take payments immediately after signing up?

In most cases the signup process takes 10 minutes after which you are able to take payments. In cases where extra verification is required it can take three to five business days, but most times it'll be faster.

What payment methods can fans use?

In most countries ZAZZpay supports tap-to-pay. Customers can tap your device with contactless cards (VISA, Mastercard) or phones and watches with cards set up (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay). In some countries we offer QR code payments where the device shows a one-time QR code that fans scan to complete payment.

How is VAT calculated?

Before taking payments you set your location. ZAZZpay then automatically includes the right VAT percentage. You update your location as you switch countries.

How do I set the transaction price?

Accepted Answer

You input the price that the consumer has to pay. The price will show in the local currency of the location you've set. In your dashboard you'll see your eligible payout per transaction. We automatically deduct ZAZZpay's fee (incl. applicable VAT). We won't invoice you for this separately.

Can I charge fans extra for card payments?

No. In Europe, by law you're not allowed to charge your customers extra for using a credit or debit card. So whether you take cash payments or card payments, make sure you always apply the same price for an item.

Can fans get a receipt?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After a successful payment you have the option to input the customer's email address to send them a receipt.

When do I get paid, and do you offer faster options?

Accepted Answer

Payouts typically arrive within 2–3 business days after a sale. If you need payouts sooner, we do offer instant payouts which come at a higher commission rate. Get in touch and we'll walk you through the options.

Can I see past transactions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the app you'll have a dashboard that shows your transactions of the past 24 hours. A full overview of all your past transactions can be found on your online dashboard at zazzpay.com.

What does ZAZZpay cost?

There's a flat percentage of 5% per transaction (limited introduction offer) with no monthly fee, no setup fee, and no hardware to buy. We provide a fully compliant payment solution that covers card fees, currency conversion and your payouts. In principle there's no VAT charged on our commission (except for transactions in the Netherlands by Dutch artists).

What's included in ZAZZpay's commission?

Our commission covers all card processing fees, currency conversion - both when a fan pays in a non-local currency and when we pay out to your bank account in your home currency - and chargeback protection.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. No PCI fees, no statement fees, no chargeback fees, no surprise deductions. What you see in your dashboard is what lands in your account.

Do I need an internet connection to take payments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ZAZZpay needs a connection to complete transactions. If you find yourself in a basement or festival field with unstable cell reception we recommend connecting to the production WiFi when setting up shop.

Can multiple crew members run sales at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Multiple people can log in to ZAZZpay on their own device. Sales sync to one shared dashboard in real time.

Does ZAZZpay track inventory per show?

Accepted Answer

Not yet, but we are looking to add new features to the app over time. If you're missing a specific feature we're very happy to learn from you.
